Surrender To Me, By Monica James **My Review PLUS a Bonus Author Q&A**

Given an ARC for my honest review!

Once again My girl Monica has delivered an insane book!

Surrender to Me is nothing short of 5 stars! If these markings could go any higher she would be top notch!

From start to finish i was once again completely and utterly consumed with everything Jasper White. From his eyes to his dimples down to his combat boots! He is like a drug!

I did not think i could love him more than i already did, but damn did i get proven WRONG!

I fell in love all over again with Ava & Jasper.
I cried, I laughed, I was pissed, Scared, Angry you name it. Emotions ran very high, you never know what was coming next.

Literally Right from the beginning chapter 1, I was on edge wanting MORE MORE MORE, not knowing where the hell this was gonna go. What you thought was gonna happen is most likely the opposite of what really does.

I want to spill everything and talk about all these amazing parts but i am not one to ruin a book for anyone who has not read it.

If you want a series that is nothing short of addicting, i suggest you read this one!

Now i must again, sit back, and wait for my friend to deliver the LAST and FINAL book of the I Surrender series, Surrendered 2014.

It is hard to believe that after this last book Jasper White will be completed. Even though he will be all done in the books, Jasper & Ava are characters i will forever remember. AND of course this is a series i will read and read and read again :-)

Congrats to my friend Monica James, you did it again Doll! <3

love your guts! xox

Let's take this Review post to the next level, I had the opportunity to ask Monica some Questions that I am certain lots of us fans/supporters want and NEED to know! So without further-a-do...

Check out my Exclusive interview with the Amazingly talented, completely brilliant, My favorite Aussie EVER, my friend,
Mrs. Monica James!

*Me: Tell us a little about yourself, including something people might be surprised to learn

Monica: I am just a humbled girl from Australia, who is absolutely thrilled to be doing an interview with someone halfway across the world. I think there are three words that best describe me: loyal, quirky and at times, a little loud.
I have a pretty nerdy sense of humour, and find random things funny, even when others don’t.

*Me: What inspired you to become a writer and how’d you get started?

Monica: I studied Philosophy and Literature at University and I loved it. I loved reading the philosophies of Aristotle, Plato and Nietzsche because their writings are simply beautiful. So I guess in a way, these philosophers inspired me to follow my dream, and take a chance to start writing seriously. But there was never a standstill when I thought to myself, ‘Yes, I want to be an author.’ I feel so blessed because writing comes naturally to me, and I can think of nothing better than getting lost in my stories. I have always written, whether it was in the form of quotes, poems, or things I heard that inspired me. I always carry a journal with me because it’s common for me to be struck with an idea during a Zumba class LOL

*Me: How long did it take you to write I Surrender?

Monica: I guess roughly 3 months to get the idea down onto paper, but overall, probably around 6 months for final edits, and rework. I am my own worst critic, so reworking I Surrender took over my life for those 6 months!

*Me: Tell us a little about the premise of the story I Surrender?

Monica: I wanted I Surrender to be real and raw. I didn’t want it to, boy meets girl, they fall in love by page 50, and live happily ever after, because that’s not how life is. Life is challenging, and sometimes it just stinks. But all the obstacles we overcome make us better people, and I see every situation, whether good or bad, as a learning experience.
I Surrender is my explanation on the philosophy of life and love, pleasure and pain, and how they all intertwine so closely, that sometimes, the line blurs between them.  I want my readers to love and hate, cry and laugh, curse and praise my characters, just as they would real people. I hope to take them on an emotional rollercoaster, and at the end of it, be breathless for more.

*Me: How would you describe your main characters?

Monica: I love my main characters, even the mean ones. In a way, I had to relate to each of them to be able to write them, and for them to be believable. I think each of my characters are just trying to find their happy ending.

*Me: What is your favorite scene in I Surrender?

Monica: That’s hard- but if I had to choose one, I’d say the scene when Ava finally tells Jasper she loves him. It was a long time coming, but when it happened, it made me cry, and still does.

*Me: With Surrender To Me (Book #2) releasing soon, what can your readers expect from this book?

Monica: Surrender to Me I think, is going to ruffle a few feathers. When writing STM, I knew I would get a lot of readers wanting to slap me, but when writing, I try to stay true to the storyline, and sometimes, that truth doesn’t always end happily.

*Me: Since I Surrender & Surrender to Me are part of a series, Does Book #2 Surrender To Me end in another hardcore Cliffhanger?

Monica: LOL you’ll have to read it and find out ;) I don’t think it does, but I didn’t think I Surrender did, so I may not be the best person to ask.

*Me: How do you balance your personal life and writing?

Monica: I have a very thoughtful husband, and my friends and family are also amazing, understanding when I need to shut off from the world.
I am a bit of a multi tasker, so I try my best to juggle the 2, because one certainly influences the other, and when I can find a happy balance between the 2, it’s epic.

*Me: When you’re not writing or reading, what’s your favorite way to kick back and relax?

Monica: I love hanging out with my menagerie of pets, because I am as passionate about animals, as I am about writing. I also love having a drink with friends, sharing great food and great conversation while laughing about absolute randomness, sounds like a perfect night to me.

*Me: How about some book recommendations? What are you reading right now?

Monica: I am actually about to start Lover at Last by J.R Ward, which I am super excited about because I LOVE her!!! Book recommendations, sheesh- how long have you got!?

*Me: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

Monica: They mean everything to me. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am now. It’s because of their enthusiasm and loyalty that I am able to do what I love, and for that, I will forever be grateful to each and every one of them. And the only way I can repay them is to continue writing stories I hope they will love.
